Frequently Asked Questions

When and where is the teaching mission?

The 2025 teaching plan will take place from July 15 to August 15, in multiple schools in Lhasa, Shigatse, and Nyingchi. Specific school assignments will be arranged based on volunteer expertise and school needs.

What are the application requirements?

Applicants must be at least 18 years old and have relevant STEM field expertise or teaching experience. Good communication skills and team spirit are required. Basic health conditions are necessary for teaching in plateau regions.

How are teaching expenses covered?

Bridge STEM will provide volunteers with round-trip transportation subsidies, accommodation, and basic living expenses. Teaching materials and equipment are provided by the project. Volunteers are responsible for their own insurance and other additional expenses.

How to prepare for altitude sickness?

We recommend volunteers prepare for altitude adaptation in advance, including physical examinations, carrying relevant medications, and learning about altitude sickness response methods. The project team will provide detailed altitude adaptation guidelines and arrange medical contacts locally.
